JOB SUMMARY:
Race Winning Brands has an opening a Maintenance Technician I that will install, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe, electrical systems for all Michigan facilities as needed. This position may have additional duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, etc.
· Plan and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs for all equipment and systems to maximize equipment up time.
· Requisition all needed maintenance supplies.
· Mechanically troubleshoot, repair and maintain all types of industrial machinery, equipment and systems.
· Capable of rebuilding or repairing machines or assemblies to original operating conditions.
· Familiar with CNC machines, PLCs, Nachi/Denso robots.
· Can modify positions and diagnose problems on robots.
· Installs, repairs, and maintains manufacturing equipment and plant facilities necessary for satisfactory operation of equipment and processes.
· Installs, moves, and aligns new and existing equipment. Sets up and operates various types of machine shop equipment with a moderate degree of accuracy and efficiency.
· Dismantles machinery to gain access to, and remove, defective parts using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
· Inspect used parts to evaluate the wear factor for the dimensional requirements of parts with the use of calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments.
· Observe mechanical machinery in operation and troubleshoot to identify root cause of operational failure/compromise. Recommend improvements to equipment or better methods.
· Diagnose mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic and combustion malfunctions and operating difficulties. Determines repair procedures and implements those repairs that will be effective in preventing reoccurrence.
· Lubricate and clean a variety of machine items and parts.
· Communicate, discuss, and/or review repair problems with engineering, tool room, production team leads and vendors, as needed.
· Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventative and unscheduled maintenance).
· Operate manual mill and manual lathe to perform repairs.
· Keep orderly and accurate records.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:- High school diploma, technical school preferred.
- 3-5 years in a Maintenance Technician role
- 5-7 years of experience electrical and electronic troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hydraulic and pneumatic manufacturing equipment maintenance.
- Preferred certification: 24 - hour HazMat training
- Computer skills: Microsoft office suite including Outlook/email
- Communication skills: Must be able to communicate with management and non-management associates.
- Ability to read hydraulic circuits, and electrical and electronic control circuits and ladder logic diagrams, including PLCs. Understands standard symbols use in hydraulics and electrical circuits.
- MIG welding ability and experience (TIG and gas welding a plus).
- Must be an energetic, self-starter who seeks more to do, and works well without constant supervision.
- Must have knowledge of OSHA rules & regulations and be safety conscious.
- Must be well-organized.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and resolve issues.
- Ability to operate a hilo/forklift.
