Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive project bids while collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify project opportunities, attend pre-bid meetings, and conduct site visits to fully understand project requirements.
- Review specifications and drawings to prepare accurate material and labor estimates using Accubid software.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to develop competitive bids while staying updated on industry trends and pricing.
- Maintain internal cost databases and participate in post-bid meetings and contract negotiations as needed.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction standards.
- Proficient in Accubid and Microsoft Office 365.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting tools.
Qualifications:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (not strictly required).
- Minimum of 3 years of electrical estimating experience with proven accuracy.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Preferred: Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or Certified Construction Estimator (CCE).
- Valid Driver’s License.
