Our partner firm has multiple Electrical Engineer opportunities throughout Michigan!
The Electrical Engineer will work on projects in heavy industry, metals, chemical/petrochemical, or environmental sectors. Responsibilities will include:
- Take on the role of Lead Electrical Engineer, providing mentorship and guidance to other electrical staff members.
- Breaker and starter sizing
- Conduit and cable sizing.
- 2-D orthographic design drawing development
- Single line and network diagram development
- Meeting with Clients,
- Electrical systems installation review during construction for general compliance with construction documents.
- Potential to work with the firm's other offices providing electrical design assistance on architectural and civil projects as well.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Coordinate with other disciplines and work in a team environment.
- Conduct thorough field investigations as required and generate comprehensive field reports accompanied by detailed sketches.
- Perform duties with multiple projects within the established schedules and budgets.
- Work on a wide variety of project types, scales and complexity.
- Work on concurrent projects.
- Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner, in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan.
- Possess aptitude to act as a positive representative of the company and its core values.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Five or more years of relevant work experience in the industrial sector
- Professional Engineer (PE) Registration preferred, but not required
- Working knowledge of NEC, IEC, ISA & IEEE design complying with industry standards is advantageous
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred
- Experience with arc-flash studies is beneficial
- Ability to visit and safely navigate construction and project sites while adhering to safety codes and requirements
