Radar Firmware Engineer at Comtec Consultants
Franklin, NC 28734
About the Job
RADAR FIRMWARE LEAD:
We are looking for someone that can architect a system and think through it. That person also needs to have relevant, first-hand knowledge of the types of systems we are building-radars. To that end, we need someone who can help shape and refine interfaces between subsystems in the new Radar, as well as a background in digital signal processing. This might be someone who has been a firmware lead on a Radar, or similar, project - preferably working with the Xilinx tool chain. RFSoC is a plus.
The absolute ideal candidate has 15 -20 years relevant experience, RFSoc, PCB experience and wiling to relocate. (Find the right person and we are willing to negotiate salary.)
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly qualified individual to be a key contributor in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) design and implementation for Radar systems. The candidate will work with RF hardware and systems/software teams to implement modes in an existing platform.
Job Scope
This position will involve development and implementation algorithms and advanced digital signal processing techniques for phased array radar, including digital waveform generation, digital receiver, etc. The work requires knowledge of radar theory and principles. An understanding of the radar design, development, and implementation process is necessary. The candidate will be expected to perform technical activities associated with radar timing and waveforms, signal and data processing techniques, implementation, testing, and verification of embedded system drivers and algorithms in C/C++, VHDL, and Matlab Coder tools.
