The Electric Superintendent of Operations, as part of the Kirkwood Electric Department, is responsible for leading the engineering and operation effort in its execution of the City of Kirkwood and Kirkwood Electric strategic plan to support the delivery of low cost, reliable electric service to the customers of the utility. This leader will deliver major strategic impact by delivering solutions that support the resiliency, growth and strength in the Kirkwood community.
What you will be doing:
As the Electric Superintendent of Operations, you would be part of the Kirkwood Electric Department, and would be responsible for leading the engineering and operation effort in its execution of the City of Kirkwood and Kirkwood Electric strategic plan to support the delivery of low cost, reliable electric service to the customers of the utility. This position will lead and deliver major strategic impact by delivering solutions that support the resiliency, growth and strength in the Kirkwood community.
Our Ideal Candidate Has:
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a Professional Engineering License. A minimum of 10 years of professional level engineering experience is required. Possess at least 5 or more years of supervisory experience. A Master's in Business Administration is preferred but not required.

Where you'll be working:
You will perform your work both inside and out, although not usually outside in inclement weather. There may be moderate safety hazards, primarily from falling objects or improperly handled equipment.
