Job Description:
We are looking for a Data Scientist/Quantitative Financial Manager who will be responsible for applying advanced statistical and quantitative techniques to analyze financial data and deliver data-driven market insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, statistics, and data science, with a proven track record of developing and implementing quantitative models. Ideally the candidate will have familiarity with healthcare data, particularly medical and pharmaceutical claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quantitative models for asset pricing, risk management, and portfolio optimization.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and noteworthy insights
- Collaborate with financial analysts and portfolio managers to provide data-driven recommendations.
- Design and maintain databases and data pipelines for efficient data management and analysis.
- Conduct research on financial markets and economic conditions to inform investment strategies.
- Create visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders and senior management.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in data science, quantitative finance, and healthcare and financial markets.
Qualifications:
- Master's or PhD in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quantitative finance, data science, or a related role.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages.
- Experience with statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and investment strategies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Experience with database management and SQL is a plus.
- CFA or FRM certification is a plus.
