Here's the Gist:
IT is looking for an energetic professional to manage, lead and own the IT Client and Modern Workspace group reporting to the VP IT Infrastructure & Engineering. This manager will ensure operational performance and service levels are met or exceeded across the entire IT client and modern workspace infrastructure. An ability to think ahead of the curve and understanding of how to manage and prioritize risk (probability vs impact) is critical to the success of Clients IT Infrastructure and key for this leader to role model.
The Day-to-Day:
The primary responsibility of this role would be to modernize, strategize, and deliver all end user computing (desktop, laptop, mobile devices, O365, printers, and infrastructure/tools, applications and systems for managing end points) client engineering and operations for the entire company.
It would also entail proactively identify, investigate, and resolve technical incidents and problems and to restore service to clients by managing incidents to resolution - by bringing in new technology, intelligence, and transformational approach to solving issues and problems.
Lead operations and monitoring strategy, development, design, and implement proactive solutions to reduce time to repair (TTR)
Design, implementation and effective evolution of client infrastructure, applications and security policies, practices, and standards that ensure effective and consistent operations.
Hiring, training, coaching and evaluating performance of all team members.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 10+ years' experience in Information Technologies and emerging new technologies
8+ years' experience of management / leadership experience in enterprise environments
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 10-plus years of experience in IT Infrastructure and Operations, with leadership responsibilities in large, cross-functional teams, effectively influencing senior-level management/key stakeholders within complex contexts.
Demonstrated successful management of senior technical professionals with emphasis in the career development of technical and professional employees.
Experience partnering with Business Units partners in implementing cloud-native applications and delivery pipelines specifically with Office 365 application suite and capabilities
Proven knowledge in the following domains - Cloud computing, Office 365 suite and capabilities, Azure, AWS, Client computing including laptop, tablet, smart phone, etc.
Expertise in establishing strong governance with effective processes, procedures, utilizing key IT service management (ITSM) techniques, policies, along with establishing SLA's, KPIs and other key operational metrics.
Experience establishing proactive operations, standardization efforts, and appropriate toolsets with automation and orchestration that will transform much of IT operations in all core areas.
In-depth experience in ensuring the optimal management of system availability, performance, and capacity management for the core client computing infrastructure.
Has established modern monitoring frameworks and toolsets with dashboards, metrics, and reports across all infrastructure and security areas.
Requires excellent writing skills to support document project plans, procedures, policies and general staff, management and communication
Outstanding verbal communication skills; proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Ability to provide consultation and expert advice to management.
Ability to deal with complex difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
Experience understanding of the quality assurance, risk management, and security considerations and their impact on overall technology environment.
Experience with and knowledge of IT outsourcing activities in a managed services environment preferred.
Experience in business systems and process planning specifically in semiconductor or manufacturing industry preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively present in front of a large audience
