Drywall Estimator - Hays

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Drywall Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial drywall estimating, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role is critical to our company’s success, ensuring accurate and competitive bids that align with our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial drywall projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive bid proposals.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
• Conduct site visits to assess project scope and gather necessary information for estimates.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and best practices.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Manage and update estimating databases and software.
• Provide support during project negotiations and contract finalization.
• Mentor and train junior estimators as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial drywall estimating.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar).
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required
