POSITION SUMMARY
As a Drayage Sales Coordinator, you will be responsible for driving the growth of the company’s drayage services, focusing on expanding the customer base, securing delivery orders, and developing competitive bids. You will play a key role in managing relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, brokers, and cargo owners, and will be instrumental in increasing the revenue from drayage, transloading, and Haz-mat warehousing services.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE :
- Expand the customer base and increase revenues for drayage, transloading services, and Haz-mat warehousing space.
- Contact potential customers to introduce drayage and transloading services, as well as Haz-mat warehouse space.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, brokers, and cargo owners.
- Interpret customer shipping data, needs, and requirements to provide optimal solutions.
- Negotiate competitive pricing and secure delivery orders.
- Provide expert guidance on import/export logistics and container transportation.
- Monitor and assess market trends and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE:
- At least 5 years of experience in import/export logistics sales, with a strong focus on port drayage operations.
- Comprehensive understanding of drayage logistics, container transportation, and the intricacies of the import/export supply chain.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
- Proven track record of successful negotiations, with a demonstrated ability to close deals and drive business growth.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
- Skilled at cultivating and maintaining long-term relationships with both internal teams and external customers, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing needs while working efficiently in a team-oriented setting.
