Club-K9 is one of the largest dog care facilities in the DMV area with over 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor fun for your pet! We offer a variety of services which include daycare, boarding, training, workouts, and grooming. We were tired of daycares where our dogs would only have basic play areas and boring walks. We wanted more than our dogs just sitting in crates all day when boarded. So, the idea to create a country club for your furry friends was born. We're not just your typical canine facility. We have more play space, indoor alone, than kennel space, an abundance of activities for your dog to participate in, including pack walks, trail paths, workouts, and more.
We are searching for a Dog Care Team Member who will take pride in providing our customers and their pets with the best possible experience when visiting our facility. Our Dog Care Team Member will report directly to the General Manager or Assistant Manager and will be a part of an energetic, dynamic, and fun team. Below you will find a breakdown of some of the duties and responsibilities of this role.
Job Requirements:
- All applicants must be eligible to work in the State of Virginia
- Applicants must have reliable transportation and be able to commute to the facility located in Sterling/Ashburn, Virginia as the work is onsite.
- Employees are expected to work in all weather conditions if considered safe to do so.
- We prefer applicants that genuinely love and have knowledge and/or experience caring for pets.
- We care for a variety of dogs and applicants must be able to stand for 8 hours and be physically capable of handling dogs of various kinds and sizes over an extended period of time.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Ensure the comfort of our customers' dogs by walking, exercising, feeding, bathing, and cleaning cages and pet waste.
Responsibilities
1: Monitoring and participating in dog playgroups to ensure a safe and positive environment for all dogs.
2: Providing mental and physical stimulation for dogs through interactive play and enrichment activities.
3: Engaging with dogs in large groups and intervening in any aggressive or inappropriate behavior occurs.
4: Monitoring for signs of stress, illness, or injury in dogs and taking appropriate action if needed.
5: Cleaning up any messes or accidents that occur during playgroup sessions.
6: Clear communication with staff members about any notable behavior or health concerns observed during playgroups.
7: Ensuring a fun and engaging experience for all dogs in your care while promoting positive socialization and play behaviors.
8: Cleaning of back of house areas - suites, kennels, play yards, toys, trach, ect.
9: Laundry - change and fold
10: Distribute and refill water bowls.
11: Following any special instructions or care plans for individual dogs, such as dietary restrictions or medical needs.

Schedule and Availability:
- We are looking for individuals with the following open availability:
- Monday through Friday Hours 7am- 9pm
- Saturday Hours 7am- 9pm
- Sunday Hours 7am- 9pm
- Our employees can be scheduled to work anytime between the hours of 7am - 9p.m. depending on the assignments on their schedule for any given day and the needs of the facility.
