Job Title:Jr. Supervisor-CDC / Distribution Center JR Supervisor
Swing Shift
Shift hours: 8-5 Monday-Friday with occasional OT, some weekends and cover 1st (6:00am-2:30pm) and 2nd shift (2:30-11pm) when need be. This person must be flexible- hours are subject to change
Description:
What you'll do
Reporting to the Distribution Center Manager, this role involves supervising and directing both 1st and 2nd shift employees. Additionally, the position provides support to the 1st and 2nd shift supervisors, ensures inventory accuracy, and resolves issues related to receipt, storage, and shipment of finished goods using the WMS and SAP systems. The Jr. Supervisor will also actively contribute to other initiatives, including continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing productivity and reducing inventory.
In this function you will:
" Ensure adherence to all Client safety and security procedures
" Ensure on-time delivery of customer shipments on a daily basis
" Provide support for training of freight and picking team members
" Supervise receipt and storage of finished goods, utilizing space in the most efficient manner
" Develop and implement procedures to improve the accuracy and control of shipments
" Develop and implement procedures to improve productivity in all distribution functions
" Maintain records to control attendance, punctuality and work performance
" Ensure proper housekeeping in all areas of responsibility
" Review and maintain in-transit reports daily. Determine problem areas and implement solutions through exception management using systems.
" Work closely/directly with hourly team members on tasks and issues faced on a daily basis
" Produce and maintain CDC performance metrics
" Co-Lead DC efforts in the annual physical inventory and developing and maintain cycle counting program
" Research and resolve problems using professional communication skills, with both internal and external customers
" Perform order processing tasks as necessary
" Actively participate in the maintenance of accurate inventory control records
Basic Qualifications:
" Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution
" Minimum of one internship OR 3 months of experience
" Must be authorized to work in the Client States without company sponsorship
" Must be flexible- can work nights and weekends when needed
Position Criteria:
" Must have a distribution/manufacturing background
" Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems or ERP s
" Effectively leverages functional and cross-functional resources to solve problems, improve processes and meet objectives
" Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of employees in a multi-tasking environment
" Superior organizational skills required to deal with multiple high priority duties
Preferred Qualifications:
" 1+ years manufacturing or distribution supervision experience
" Union experience
" SAP experience
