Job Description:
Our client in Jessup, MD is seeking an Experienced Dispatcher to join their team. This is a temporary position with the potential for permanent placement, based on performance and business needs. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience in coordinating logistics in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispatching drivers and coordinating schedules to ensure timely deliveries and services
• Communicating with drivers and providing instructions to resolve issues or delays
• Tracking and monitoring the status of deliveries and shipments
• Managing incoming calls and emails regarding dispatch requests
• Coordinating with internal teams to ensure efficient routing and operations
• Handling customer inquiries and resolving scheduling or logistical issues
• Maintaining accurate records of dispatches, schedules, and deliveries
• Performing other administrative tasks as required

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role is required
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Knowledge of routing software or dispatching systems is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in logistics or transportation management is a plus
• Must be able to work flexible hours as needed
