Job purpose
Dishwashers are tasked with collecting used dishes, plates, and utensils, loading washing machines and stacking washed items appropriately. Dishwashers are one of the many positions that helps in providing an unforgettable dining experience for our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
- Load and unload dishwashing machines
- Wash specific items by hand (e.g. rice pots, very large cookware and delicate glassware)
- Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately
- Ensure that clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, are adequately stocked especially during peak hours
- Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents)
- Check dishwashing machines' operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
- Remove garbage regularly and dispose according to store procedures
- Clean and sanitize the kitchen area, bathrooms, and restaurant lobby area as assigned
- Demonstrate and uphold all TRAPCHK core values
Experience and Qualifications
- Work experience as a Dishwasher or any restaurant capacity
- Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed
- Time management skills
- Attention to detail and sanitation rules
- High school diploma is a plus
- Washington State Food Worker Card is required (before first day of work)
Physical Demands
The employee must regularly lift items up 10 pounds, frequently up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand throughout their shift, walk, reach with hands and arms in front of body, lift, twist, crouch occasionally.
