About the Job
Assure a high standard of appearance, hospitality, and service in personnel and cleanliness of The Center Club. The dish and general utility position are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using a machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility.

Responsibilities and Duties
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies, and Expectations
- Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine.
- Sort and stack clean dishes. Carry clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas. Rewash soiled dishes before delivering.
- Change dishwater in dish machine every hour.
- Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand.
- Remove trash and garbage to the dumpster.
- Set up or break down dishwashing area.
- Clean and roll/unroll mats.
- Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
- Sweep/mop floors.
- Sweep up trash around an exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster.
- Conduct general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed.
- Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
- Notify Chef anytime dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
- Other duties as directed.
Requirements:
- Dishwashing experience in restaurant setting preferred.
- Well Organized and able to effectively manage workspace.
- Energetic and hardworking able to work under pressure.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Good communication skill.

- Maintain personal hygiene.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Ability to understand and meet restaurant standards for health, safety, and excellence.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods walking or standing.
- Must be able to read,
- Must be able to lift, carry, and place up to 40 pounds at a time.
- Must frequently immerse hands in water.
- Must be able to work in a hot and damp environment.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach and squat frequently to receive and store stock, supplies, and equipment, and work the line as needed during service periods.
- Ability to hear and respond to kitchen staff, alarms, timers, and other important sounds in a busy, often noisy environment.
- Clear and effective communication with kitchen staff, servers, and other team members, often in a fast-paced setting where quick verbal instructions are essential.
