Description
This is a lead technical architect position in the Disaster Recovery Management team that is managing the Recovery service for a HCL Client's IT environment. The role primarily involves design and architect Disaster Recovery strategy and solutioning for a heterogeneous technology environment.
This role seeks strong technical and managerial skills with multiple delivery teams to monitor day-to-day operational issues, technical readiness and capabilities of the recovery environment and ability to trigger a failover event, supporting technology required to enable recovery during recovery a drill or a disaster declaration scenario.

· Overall IT professional experience 12+ year
· At least 10+ year technology implementation, design and architecture, Infrastructure recovery solutions
Skills and Specifications
· Ability to analysis current technology landscape and propose future state of Disaster Recovery technology
· Network / Security / Storage / Backup / Database / virtualization Technology related experience.
· Candidate must be comfortable leading in a fast-paced team environment, and possess very good communications skills
· Presentation and mathematical Skills.
Education & Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
· At least 8+ years of experience in computing or related area with a focus on technology and management.
· Professional certifications such as ABCP/CBCP/ BS25999 would be added advantage.
· Technology related Certifications will be an added advantage

Responsibilities
· Experience in designing Disaster Recovery solutions for Cloud IaaS/PaaS, Azure, O365, Cloud Integration etc
· Responsible for developing, maintaining and driving adoption of Infrastructure recovery solution architectures that align with business needs
· Partnering with Global Engineering and Architecture teams to ensure solutions are in line with Firm-wide Strategic Technology Roadmap
· Review, assess and present DR solutions options to Engineering board and IT architecture leaderships
· Identifying gaps in current DR standards and developing future state application and infrastructure architectures, frameworks, and development standards
· Recommending end-to-end technology design solutions and takes full accountability for the architecture of solutions
· Ability to provide costing and effort required for implementation of recovery solutions
· Leading multiple technology groups to ensure that the application, integration, infrastructure, and security architectures are designed to meet evolving business requirements on Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity and align with the organization Technology Roadmap
· Experience in designing and implementing Disaster Recovery solutions across Database platform, Storage, Backup and virtualization, network, tools and application platforms
· Expert level knowledge of Database backup and recovery process and DR solutions like RAC, Active Dataguard, Oracle Golden gate, Site Recovery Manager, Zerto, ASR
· Cloud Solutions / Hardware Virtualizations – IaaS, Paas, Saas, Provisioning Automation (on Demand DR provisioning and scaling), Hybrid Cloud
· Experience in proposing Disaster Recovery as a Service design
· Basic understanding of Mainframe, AS400, & Tandem and recovery solutions
· Manage the various technology teams to develop drill Test Plans and Test Evaluation Summaries across heterogeneous infrastructure layers
· Lead efforts for Testing DR environment for datacenter failover and failback
· Drill execution co-ordination, incident / issues tracking during drills
· Experience in recovery testing data collection, analysis and reporting with recommendation of alterations to improve recovery performance
· Well affluent in tools that enable DR replication and automation
· Able to drive customer on a streamlined DR approach for Business as Usual sustainability and readiness
· Streamline Disaster Recovery process and operations for customer
· Define recovery testing calendar and engage in conversations with customer's Application and Business teams
