Join Our Client as Director of Technology Governance-Boston/Hybrid
Are you passionate about defining and refining IT governance policies to drive successful outcomes? We're seeking a Director of Technology Governance to lead our clients Technology Group in this critical area. In this role you will collaborate closely with technology teams, Audit, Risk, and Human Resources functions, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals. The client is a well mid sized asset management company in the heart of Boston, MA. Experience within a similar environment is highly desirable.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer, implement, and oversee IT Governance, including policies, procedures, standards, and controls, across various domains such as Asset, Inventory, Problem, Service, Incident, Issues, and Change Management.
- Foster a high-level approach for assessing technology architecture and engineering efforts from a control perspective.
- Provide oversight and leadership on risk and controls, validating the design, development, and deployment of applications and technology solutions.
- Translate audit technology control requirements to internal stakeholders, driving alignment on governance requirements.
- Develop and advance IT Governance best practices and procedures, optimizing IT controls and processes.
- Identify gaps or conflicts in existing processes and drive remediation of control deficiencies.
- Collaborate on annual Cybersecurity assessments and implement a Technology Lifecycle Management Program.
- Manage Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery plans.
- Partner with technology leadership to define technology strategy and implement IT transformation efforts.
Skills You Bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field; CISA, CISM, or similar certification required.
- Minimum of 10 years of work experience in governance, audit, compliance, risk, and/or security.
- Experience within an asset management environment highly desired
- High-level knowledge of IT risks across applications, infrastructure, and data.
- Expansive knowledge of technology controls in various IT environments.
- Experience implementing review and approval processes within a Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC).
- Ability to effectively communicate and obtain buy-in at all levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with Agile product management methodologies.
- Attention to detail and quality while balancing practicality and value-creation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Cybersecurity concerns.
