Position Overview:
The Director of Properties is responsible for leading and motivating property managers to ensure efficient operations across multiple properties. This role works closely with leadership to implement strategies, manage teams, and oversee property maintenance. The Director serves as the main point of contact for property-related matters, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
This is a leadership role that requires attention to detail, adaptability, and a proactive approach to managing luxury properties and teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee 3 direct reports (Property Manager and 2 Estate Managers) and support property teams to ensure efficiency, cost control, and adherence to budgets.
- Manage property work orders and preventive maintenance using the work management platform application, tracking progress and ensuring timely completion.
- Oversee property inspections, prioritize work orders, and manage transitions between project and property teams.
- Lead weekly meetings with property teams and report updates to leadership.
- Coordinate with vendors, approve invoices, and ensure vendor vetting for maintenance needs.
- Prepare reports on property operations and performance, including metrics for improvements.
- Act as a liaison with internal business units, supporting utilities, home services, and emergency preparedness.
- Manage property emergency responses and disaster contingency plans.
- Oversee work management platform, ensuring proper usage, enhancements, and compliance.
- Handle special projects to improve team efficiency and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 10–15 years of experience in property management or a related role.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Asana)
- Valid U.S. work authorization
- Valid driver's license required
