Position Overview: As the Director of Operations, you will be a key leader in overseeing and optimizing our operations. You will drive the success of our vehicle sales and distribution from consigners to dealers nationwide. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you will lead a high-performing team, ensuring that we meet our mission to provide exceptional value to our customers and partners. The ideal candidate will be an experienced operations leader with a track record of building scalable processes, managing cross-functional teams, and executing at a high level in a startup environment. A forward-thinking mindset focused on technological disruption and innovation is key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and scale daily operations across vehicle procurement, sales, and distribution, working directly with consignors, dealers, and internal teams.
- Develop and implement effective operational strategies to streamline vehicle sales from consigners (auto lenders, rental car companies, OEMs) to dealers nationwide.
- Oversee a team of operations professionals, ensuring effective training, support, and performance management.
- Partner with sales, technology, and marketing teams to ensure alignment across all departments.
- Optimize operational processes and workflows to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
- Manage logistics, inventory, and vehicle fleet tracking to ensure timely deliveries and optimal vehicle placement.
- Use data-driven insights to assess performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to drive growth.
- Drive innovation and forward-thinking solutions to keep the company competitive in an evolving market.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and industry regulations, including vehicle registration, insurance, and safety standards.
- Play a key role in developing a scalable and sustainable operation as the company continues to grow and expand.
Qualifications:
- 8 to 12+ years of experience leading an operations team, preferably in fast-paced or start-up environments.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to develop talent and maintain high-performing teams.
- A track record of scaling operations and optimizing business processes.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
- Diligent, methodical, and results-oriented approach to operations management.
- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to see the big picture and think long-term.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for creating innovative solutions and driving growth in an evolving market.
- Experience in the tech industry or a tech-forward environment is highly beneficial.
- Automotive experience is preferred but not required.
