Director of Nursing - Nursing Home

Located in Oceanside, NY 

Salary: $140K Annually ; Depending on Experience

Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing:

• Monitors and evaluates patient outcomes and nursing performance, making necessary improvements
• Participates in creating care plans for residents and ensures they are followed
• Oversees the hiring and continued employment of nursing staff
• Creates and enforces policies that ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Ensuring there is adequate nursing staff, and that the staff's skills remain current
• Meet fiscal responsibilities through budget planning, implementation, and monitoring

Requirements of the Director of Nursing:

• Must have a valid New York RN license
  
• Must have prior experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing or Director of Nursing
• Must have strong clinical background and knowledge
• Must have experience in long-term care
• Proven Leadership & Management skills
• Strong verbal & written communication skill
