About the Job

Qualifications:

Must be a registered nurse currently licensed in Wisconsin.

At least three (3) years of nursing supervision experience.

Minimum of five (5) years in long-term care or geriatric nursing.

Experience with Medicare/Medicaid standards is desirable.

Current Basic Life Support training required.

Excellent communication skills necessary.

Acceptable criminal background check required.

Status:
The Director of Nursing (DON) supervises the nursing department and coordinates nursing programs at assisted living facilities. The DON is responsible for ensuring quality nursing care and compliance with regulations, with on-call duties once a week and every fourth weekend.

Essential Job Functions:
The DON oversees 24-hour nursing care, develops policies, manages staff recruitment and training, evaluates performance, and ensures compliance with care plans and regulations. Responsibilities also include fiscal management, quality improvement, and addressing resident complaints.

Pay Scale: $99,750-$115,500 per year, DOE.
