Workplace Culture:
Skyland Trail is a nonprofit mission-focused organization with five campuses in Atlanta and about 150 employees. Employees work collaboratively in small teams. Cross-departmental committees and working groups help ensure quality and performance improvement. Each and every employee plays an important role in our clients healing and recovery. The dress code recognizes the fact that different styles are appropriate, depending on changes of season, degree of customer contact, nature of work, and safety considerations.
Tattoos: Tattoos on the face, head or neck, which cannot easily be covered and cause distraction from a therapeutic standpoint, are not allowed
Piercings: No visible body piercings, other than pierced ears and discrete nose studs, should be worn in the workplace.
Unacceptable Attire:
Halter tops, spaghetti straps, strapless or backless tops and dresses
Hats, caps, and other head coverings (religious exemptions available)
Slippers, flip-flops
Shorts, athletic pants, sweatpants, yoga pants, leggings, tee shirts, sweatshirts, or hoodies (except as described for approved athletic attire)
Clothing that exposes legs more than 3 inches above the knee (except shorts as described for athletic attire), midriff, breasts, buttocks, or undergarments, including sheer or see-through clothing
Clothing with alcohol or drug related words or images, hate speech or symbols, profanity, words or images depicting guns or violence, endorsements of political candidates/parties/legislation, language or images that disparage or disrespect an individual or group of people
Some styles of dress or items of clothing may be identified as inappropriate even if not explicitly described above.
