Los Angeles, CA. We are looking for a Business Development Director to join our Global Customer Success team.
Responsibilities

The Director of Global Business Development will be an excellent educator, possessing tools to teach and influence mature technical audiences of thermal, structural, and systems engineering architects with a focus on the Aerospace & Defense industry. This role will sit in the Customer Success organization and will communicate and innovate consistently with peer business functions such as Program Management, Project Management, Product Engineering, and Product Marketing. The Director of Global Business Development will report to the GM of Global Strategy. Assigned tasks will include (but are not limited to):
- Responsible for generating a pipeline of market focus opportunities and developing/communicating contact and capture plans.
- Communicate with and support the customer success for teaching and learning opportunities related to Carbice strategic pursuits.
- Work with the Director of Product Marketing, VP of Marketing Communications, and the CTO to refine and update go-to-market plans to exceed Carbice goals.
- A successful candidate will also identify and develop new accounts across his or her territory to further drive revenue growth; initially in Aerospace and Defense with broadening market scope over time.
- KPI’s for this role will include opportunity generation metric, contact to capture metric, and customer technology road map integration metric.

Qualifications
- A Teaching and Learning Mentality
- Technical background within an engineering discipline (e.g., material science, thermal engineering, structural or mechanical engineering)
- 10+ years of business capture excellence in Space Systems, Airborne Systems, Energy Systems, Power Electronics or Data Centers systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience balancing technical and business aspects of accounts to drive value solutions to customers while maintaining the goals of the company
- Track record of exceeding KPI’s with respect to opportunity capture
- Ability to “roll up sleeves” and take action personally as well as an ability to drive the organization to take action
