WHAT THE POSITION ENTAILS
Work Schedule & Location: This is a remote, nationwide position with travel as needed. You must live within 1 hour of a U.S. metropolitan airport. The typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST.
Your Role: As our Director of Development, your day is a blend of strategy, relationship-building, and execution. You lead innovative campaigns like Luminary of the Year and peer-to-peer fundraising, inspiring donors, volunteers, and sponsors to rally behind our mission. From securing corporate sponsorships to stewarding volunteers and overseeing event logistics, your work ensures we achieve our revenue goals. Collaborating with leadership and marketing teams, you also translate our advocacy into compelling stories that resonate with communities across the nation.
The Minimum Requirements to Be Considered:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 7+ years of experience in community development and fundraising
- 5+ years of volunteer engagement experience
- Proven success in corporate sponsorships and campaign management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in advocacy or research-based fundraising
