Overview:
We’re looking for a Director of Clinical Services RN to join our team. You will report directly to the Executive Director. You will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate delivery of patient services and compliance with the Conditions of Participation of the Medicare Hospice Benefit, State Hospice regulations and the operating model. In addition, this position achieves and maintains competency in several areas: quality care and service, staffing, leadership, census, and cost control.
- Establish, implement, and evaluate goals and objectives for hospice services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy.
- Manage hospice physicians’ visit schedules, certification/recertification process, and clinical oversight issues.
- Support the day-to-day operation at the local office, including employment of qualified Hospice personnel and provision of Hospice services
- At least three years’ experience of direct patient care in a clinical setting and two years’ experience in hospice or home-based care setting
- Minimum of one year management experience required
- Current RN license to practice nursing in the state of residence and requested employment
- Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with accepted hospice principles and practice, including industry standards, regulations, and best practices (i.e., Medicare, Medicaid, JCAHO, ACHC), company policies/procedures, and understanding of terminally ill patients and their families
- Strong collaboration skills including partnering with operations, business development, clinical, and other teams to improve processes and achieve quality outcomes
