S³ Inc. is seeking a Director of Administ ration to join our Corporate Business Operations team at our corporate HQ in Cummings Research Park, Huntsville, AL.
This is not a teleworking position.
Military experience is a plus when combined with qualifying industry experience with a defense contractor of greater than 500 employees.
Job Description:
The Administration Department of S 3 , Inc. Business Operations consists of Human Resources (HR), Benefits, Recruiting, Training Development, and IT department that support contracts co-located with government customers at multiple locations, CONUS and OCONUS. The Director of Administration reports to the CAO and also manages functions of the three subsidiaries, GLSS (Logistics Maintenance CBA, SCA), KBFS (Aviation Commercial), and S3I/S3A (OCONUS Aviation Services).
Responsibilities:
- Manages overall day-to-day tasks of the department teams to ensure compliance to ISO/AS9100 procedures in execution for proper support to employees and management.
- Coordinates with other elements of Business Operations, develops solutions to meet the needs of the Business Units, updates policies, and procedures to proactively support corporate growth, for subsidiary unit, and support routine audits by many federal agencies in accordance with their missions.
- Ensures HR operations: (a) are compliant with all required federal laws and regulations, (b) provide a competitive fringe package, and (c) provide HR services that meet the timely needs of the Business Units. Applies metrics.
- Directs the recruitment process and the strategic plan to ensure the recruiting needs of the company are met, not only today, but into the future as the company grows. Applies metrics.
- Provides leadership for a work environment for employees that enable them to complete their respective jobs efficiently and effectively, while remaining budget compliant. Applies metrics.
- Manages the IT department staff for hardware, software, and network, classified and unclassified accountabilities within budget. Achieve and maintain CMMC.
- Applies accountable performance metrics of the departments, reporting to audit requirements, both internal and external, with plans to advance automation in processes and complete utilization of the capabilities of the Admin modules of Deltek Costpoint.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree preferred.
- 15 years total experience related to federal contractor administration, 8 years in management of which 4 years management is with a defense contracting company of greater than 500 employees.
- Defense contractor experience is required; commercial experience is not relevant for this position.
