Job Summary and Qualifications
Job Summary:
Develops and implements the strategic plan for labor and productivity management for the Supply Chain service line, sets specific productivity goals to be accomplished, and directs the activities of the Supply Chain team towards meeting those strategic goals. Identifies productivity opportunities and communicates recommended solutions appropriately with Corporate, Division, and facility leaders. Follows company standard processes and utilizes standard tools to ensure consistency across the company. Collaborates with Corporate, Division, and Facility Executives as well as department managers to continually improve productivity results. Participates in the annual budget process and implements productivity changes as needed. The position is also responsible for complying with Corporate policy and procedures, managing resources, promoting teamwork and maximizing internal and external customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Identifies productivity opportunities and recommends solutions to the appropriate Corporate, Division, and facility and individuals.
- Provides input on the utilization of PLUS and Benchmark; web-based applications used to capture and report statistical values used for managing labor costs based on units of service.
- Assists with Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual strategic planning sessions with the HealthTrust Supply Chain team to develop strategy and operations plans
- Assists the HealthTrust Supply Chain team with establishing cost savings targets
- Leads and participates in the integration of Supply Chain departments into all required PLUS integrations (Kronos, GHR, QMIRS, etc.) and ensures appropriate set-up for visibility into PLUS
- Establishes the Supply Chain staffing model and determines the appropriate volume statistic to measure workload
- Provides training on PLUS, FPC, and Scheduling Excellence tools to leaders at all levels
- Continuously monitors productivity performance using recognized tools and software.
- Develops, oversees, and improves daily operations, policies, systems and procedures necessary to support cost reduction and system utilization goals.
- Participates in service line budget planning
- Provide monthly KPI’s for review and regular reporting
- Assist in the development and training of teams by assisting divisions with training, educational programs and resources
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 7+ years of experience in relevant work
- 5+ years of experience with labor management systems
- Advanced Analytical Skills
- Proficient in written and verbal skills
Nice to Have:
- Master’s Degree
- 5+ years of experience in previous management responsibility
