Job Details
- Lead and document technical review of client contracts promptly and in alignment with internal protocols
- Collaborate closely with commercial and sales teams to offer insights and recommendations on proposed sales deals, assessing impact of non-standard elements
- Conduct thorough cost-of-sales assessments and detailed gross margin analyses on monthly and quarterly basis
- Enhance and uphold procedures to ensure accurate recording of incremental revenue alongside related costs of goods sold, maintaining visibility on margins
- Provide support to shared services unit in managing accounts receivable and collections, including leading weekly discussions with finance management
- Act as main point of contact and liaison for revenue matters during quarterly reviews and annual financial audits
- Participate in analytical review processes and craft responses to flux and variances, comparing against plans and prior periods for specific accounts
- Ensure compliance of all revenue and operational processes with SOX 404b, contributing to establishment and maintenance of robust control environment
- Review dedicated balance sheet reconciliations for accounts receivable, unbilled receivables, deferred revenue, and cost of goods sold, collaborating with team to address discrepancies promptly
- Oversee management of two direct reports: a senior accounting manager and a staff accountant
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience – Big 4 experience preferred
- Public company experience
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Expertise in of ASC 606 & COGS accounting
- Understanding and experience with researching accounting standards
- Expertise in Sarbanes Oxley / internal control frameworks
- Workiva, NeSuite
