Who We’re Looking For:
As a key member of our R&D team, the Director R&D, Software Development is responsible to build, inspire, motivate and manage Laborie’s software development team, driving the strategic vision and execution of medical device software and fostering innovation within the team. This role plays a strong role in incorporating Machine Learning (ML) and/or Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions across Laborie’s portfolio. and lead all software development activities for Laborie globally.

- Provide strong leadership to the software development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Set clear goals and expectations, and mentor team members to achieve their full potential.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute the software development strategy aligned with the company's overall goals.
- Bring extensive experience in AI and machine learning to guide the development of intelligent and innovative solutions.
- Implement effective project management methodologies and processes to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software.
- Be or become proficient in the global regulations for medical device software and evolving regulations for AI applications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field with at least 5 years of proven experience leading software teams, including medical device experience
- Background in AI and machine learning, with a track record of successfully implementing AI solutions; knowledge of AI frameworks, libraries and tools.
- Lean development and/or agile methodologies for software development.
