WHAT IS THE ROLE ?
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Retail Planning Director develops, plans and executes merchandising and inventory strategies to achieve Psycho Bunny’s sales and gross margin targets.
HOW WILL YOU DO IT?
Sales Growth and Inventory Management
● In collaboration with merchandising and leadership team, drive departmental strategic plans across all KPIS including but not limited to: sales, inventory, WOS, margin, receipts etc.
● Own the planning and managing of the a strategic inventory position (Open to Buy) across all commodities
●Drive the strategic lifecycle and markdown management of inventory at the commodity level
●In collaboration with merchandising and leadership team, own the sizing and planning of the promotional strategy by channel
● Major stakeholder in the in season management of the business via but not limited to: re-forecasting cadence, pricing strategy, promotional strategy, and bridge planning
Assortment Planning Strategy
● Work with merchandising to set the assortment planning strategy corporate wide: including but not limited to, lifecycle, style color count, blend of category and major attributes by channel cluster.
● Set and manage lead time strategy by commodity. Ensure receipt strategy and buys are placed accordingly.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Management
● Close partnership with merchandising on product, assortment, and promotional strategy
●Close partnership with finance on financial strategy from a blend of business and margin perspective. Responsible for the reconciliation of financial plans at location level with merchandise financial plans at category level in cost, units and retail.
● Leader of a team of merchandise planning managers as well as planners. Foster growth and development as well as career objectives within the team.
WHO YOU ARE ?
Your achievements
Bachelor degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field of study
At least 7 years of experience managing planning teams in a retail environment
Deep understanding of inventory management and best practice retail financial accounting
Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
Strong ability to spot anomalies and focus on what is really driving business performance
Ability to influence and strong communication skills
Ability to build and coach teams in fast growing environments
Strong excel skills
A hands on approach towards management and process improvement
