Position Summary
Reporting to GM Fleet Sales & Operations. The Regional Fleet Director will be responsible for increasing fleet revenue within the assigned geographical territory by driving new and managing existing fleet sale accounts through personal sales activity and the effective management of a remote sales team of Fleet Sales Representatives (FSR's). Responsible for executing business plans that achieve account profitability and sales goals of assigned team. Travel the assigned territory to hire, develop and manage a team of Fleet Sales Representatives. Attend operating events, as well as visiting prospects and customers. The sales team utilizes a consultative style sales approach with focus on acquiring new fleet service clients and growing the overall share of the existing client business. The RFD position is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities with fleet customers in assigned territory, providing leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company's vision and values and establishing plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the assigned territory.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
* Responsible for increasing revenue by prospecting, signing, and generating sales from new Fleet accounts within a geographic territory consisting of multiple markets.
* Manage a team of Field Service Representatives that increase overall Fleet Service revenue in an assigned territory.
* Hire, train and develop Fleet Sales Representatives in assigned territory.
* Performance manage underperforming FSR's as necessary.
* Review sales and customer data daily to ensure awareness of customer sales growth and declines, execute action plans with FSRs and/or operations field teams to correct sales declines related to specific customers.
* Coordinate the setting of Sales goals with the General Manager - Fleet Sales & Operations.
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
* 5+ years of Sales Management experience
* 7+ years' in B2B sales experience
* Strong sales experience and proven sales growth experience is required
* Experience prospecting and cold calling customers
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Strong relationship building and customer service skills is required
* Strong written and verbal communication skills is required
* Excellent time management skills
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Expert management skills necessary to lead a Sales team.
* Expert knowledge of Fleet Service or similar fields
* Intermediate knowledge of MS Outlook, Office & CRM tools
* Effective ability to plan and manage on both the strategic and operational level
* Must maintain a valid driver's license that meets the criteria under company policy
