Director Ambulatory Operations - Primary Care - Cottage Health

About the Job
The initial focus will require the establishment of clinics in this newly developing service line. The Director will partner with the Ambulatory Medical Director to set up operational systems, design clinic workflows, identify tools & technologies, and establish the organizational structures that complement the initial vision for primary care delivery in a scalable, efficient and highly consumer-centric model. Responsible for all administrative functions of the practice locations, including operations, marketing, finance, assisting in managed care/third party contracting when requested, physician compensation and reimbursement information when requested, human resource management, medical and business information systems, ancillary service general knowledge and planning and development. The Director is responsible for the overall performance of primary care clinic sites and assures that the patient experience, quality of care and access meet the highest industry standards. Serves as the liaison between the Primary Care service line and Cottage leaders, helping to design, develop and continuously delivery an innovative primary care model uniquely suited to the needs of the patient community Cottage Health serves.

QUALIFICATIONS:
LEVEL OF EDUCATION
Minimum: Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or healthcare administration or 10+ years of similar work experience Preferred: Master's degree
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum: Knowledge of and skill in the use of personal computers and related systems and software. Skill in medical terminology. Skill in time management and project management. Knowledge and understanding of financial management concepts with a general understanding of automated billing regulations and medical records systems and their applications within medical practices. Requires budgetary oversite of $5M in operating revenue. Intermediate level Microsoft Office proficiency and Medical Terminology
Preferred: Experience in an organization using an Epic EMR
YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum: Two (2) years working in management roles in a multi-clinic ambulatory site environment
Preferred: Experience in primary care operations within a large, integrated health system; experience with time and project management, financial management concepts, healthcare regulatory and billing processes.
