Alay Home Care is a DDD Provider established in 2018. Since opening, we have serviced over 300 consumers throughout New Jersey. We're devoted to supporting individuals with Developmental Disabilities by providing Direct Care Staff in the Home and Community Settings. Our team has been in the home care industry for over 22 years, consisting of a group of highly experienced and knowledgeable team members.
What's your day like?
As a new Direct Support Professional at Alay Home Care in Union City, NJ, you can expect to provide compassionate care and support to clients with varying needs. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include assisting with daily living activities, providing companionship, and ensuring the safety and well-being of clients. You will follow a Monday to Friday schedule from 9am to 4pm, allowing for a predictable routine while making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
What we're looking for in a Direct Support Professional - ASL
To excel in the role of Direct Support Professional at Alay Home Care, candidates must possess strong communication skills in ASL, as it is the primary means of communication with our clients. Additionally, candidates should have completed some college credits, at least an Associate Degree, to assist clients with homework assignments. Proficiency in assisting with tasks such as essay writing, comprehension review, and Mathematics, including College Algebra, is essential. Successful candidates will also demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate and work with individuals who have disabilities such as being hard of hearing, mild cognitive impairment, mild autistic traits, and individuals of varying chronological ages.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- DSP who knows ASL (American Sign Language) and is able to communicate as this is only means of communication.
- Need someone who has had some College Credits at least an Associate Degree who is able to Assist with his Homework Assignment. example Essay Writing
- Review of Comprehension and other related Writing Assignments. Mathematics...College Algebra and other related Text based on Class Curriculum. Someone who knows how to communicate and work with someone who has disabilities
