Sandstone Spring Valley -
The Dietary Aide works under the direction of the Dietary Director and performs a variety of dietary tasks including stocking food items, food prep, and storage of unused unpackaged items, preparing, cooking, and serving therapeutic meals, assisting in portion control, reporting on resident food and beverage consumption, and cleaning/sanitizing the kitchen, dining areas, and utility areas.
Schedule:
- PRN - Evening Shift (1pm - 9pm)
The Job:
- Know, understand, and implement the mission of Sandstone of Spring Valley.
- Stock food items in designated storage areas after food deliveries.
- Store unused, unpackaged food items with proper identification and dating as required.
- Follow the approved menus, prepare food for preparation prior to cooking.
- Prepare, cook, and serve food and beverage items according to the therapeutic diet indicated on the resident tray card.
- Provide assistance to the cook in the preparation and service of meals.
- Set up trays and food service carts timely and accurately.
- Serve and bus trays.
- Pour and cover beverages.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to Successfully Pass a NABS Fingerprint Background and Drug Screening.
- Active Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler's Card.
- COVID Vaccination (medical and religious exemptions will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis)
- At Least 1 Year Experience in a Hospital / Skilled Nursing Culinary Department
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language.
