Qualifications

1. Long-Term Care Food Service experience preferred.
2. Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
3. Able to follow instructions
4. Experience with commercial kitchen appliances
5. Friendly with good communication skills
6. Good physical condition and stamina
7. Experience in food service preferred
8. Reliable transportation required
9. Part-time or full-time

Essential Job Functions

1. Preparing meals, snacks, and beverages following specific procedures
2. Cooking meals following specific procedures
3. Serving meals, ensuring food safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times
4. Taking inventory of kitchen supplies and food items
5. Staying current on the individual procedures, protocols and education for the facility, including state-specified rules and regulations
6. Setting up and taking down dining areas and assisting with kitchen maintenance and general cleaning
7. Will be cross-trained for Cook and Dietary Aide.
