Position Summary:
As a Diesel Technician, your job is to keep the wheels turning. We're all about providing top-notch service and keeping our customers on the road. Your responsibilities include running diagnostics, repairing or replacing crucial vehicle components, and ensuring that every vehicle is road-ready. It's not just a job; it's a mission to ensure safety on the road.
Performance Objectives:
- Consult with customers and assess tasks from work orders.
- Create comprehensive work plans to address maintenance and repair needs.
- Conduct diagnostic tests on diesel engines and offer effective solutions.
- Inspect vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, and exhaust.
- Repair or replace vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and related parts.
- Make field visits for emergency breakdowns.
- Test drive repaired vehicles to assess their performance.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks.
- Keep meticulous records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles.

- Intermediate knowledge of diesel repair and maintenance.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Proven ability to maintain a positive attitude in a team environment with competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Capacity to read, interpret, and create documents like safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Willingness to attend meetings and complete required training.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- At least 1 year of diesel automotive repair experience.
- A current state driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Experience working collaboratively with team members from different roles is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
You should be comfortable with:
- Prolonged standing or walking.
- Working in an automotive shop environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Lifting at least 50 lbs.
