BBB Heart of Texas is looking for a responsible individual to join our Austin office as a Development Coordinator, who will be responsible for supporting our Better Business Bureau Education Foundation (EF) and assisting in fund development, donor engagement, and outreach activities across the service area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute event promotion strategies in alignment with organizational objectives, fostering collaborative efforts internally and externally.
- Assist in the planning and execution of fund development and community outreach events – including onsite support, working closely with BBB leadership and staff to ensure successful event implementation.
- Utilize marketing skills to contribute to the planning and execution of internal and external promotional campaigns for BBB Education Foundation.
- Assist in gathering public feedback and insights to identify community needs and preferences for outreach events.
- Collaborate with Fund Development, Communications, and Marketing staff to enhance public awareness of BBB programs, products, and services through participation in outreach activities and events.
- Evaluate the outcomes of meetings and events in real-time, and follow up on successes, challenges, and opportunities as they arise.
- Data management – maintain and update the donor database, including logistics. Track event outcomes, donor engagement, and key stakeholders to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain an organized outreach events calendar and master schedule of community event participation throughout the year.
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with diverse audiences, always representing BBB Education Foundation professionally.
- Provide general administrative support, including helping with calendar management, coordinating donor meetings, and donor support arrangements.
- Support the ongoing functioning and success of BBB Education Foundation through various tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Experience working in a nonprofit or community-focused organization.
- Knowledge of fundraising principles and strategies.
- Graphic design skills or experience with design software.
- Familiarity with social media marketing and digital advertising platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, marketing, communications, business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in event coordination, marketing, or related roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
