We are seeking a talented and experienced Consulting DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cutting-edge DevOps infrastructure. This individual will work closely with our software development team and IT operations to ensure the deployment, scalability, and security of our systems. The role is pivotal in supporting our technical operations, providing innovative solutions to complex challenges, and contributing to the overall success of our technology initiatives.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines for software applications, using tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, design automated solutions, and troubleshoot issues.
3. Implement automation tools and frameworks, including scripting, configuration management, and application performance monitoring.
4. Design and maintain cloud-based solutions with services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
5. Manage code deployments, fixes, updates, and related processes.
6. Work closely with development teams to predict and service the needs of our fast-paced development cycle.
7. Continually research and evaluate emerging technologies to stay ahead of the curve and recommend ways to implement in our environment.
8. Implement system monitoring strategies to ensure the highest level of system availability and reliability.
9. Develop and maintain system recovery procedures to ensure system data integrity and availability.
10. Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. At least 5 years of relevant experience in a DevOps role.
3. Proficiency in using Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
4. Strong experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and understanding of their offerings.
5. Extensive knowledge of software development, system operations, and deployment strategies.
6. Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
9. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
10. Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, and commonly used Internet protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, and DNS.
11. Certifications in DevOps or Cloud technologies will be considered a plus.
