We have a new and exciting position available for a qualified Desktop Support Technician to join our client’s team for an onsite position in Boston, MA and be responsible for interacting and providing hardware upgrades, new technology, and phone support for our client. Critical skills include a focus on being helpful, relatable, and pleasant while deploying hardware or answering questions on new technology. The ideal candidate must be reliable and be available for hours between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Duties and Responsibilities:
We have a new and exciting position available for a qualified Desktop Support Technician to join our client’s team for an onsite position in Boston, MA and be responsible for interacting and providing hardware upgrades, new technology, and phone support for our client. Critical skills include a focus on being helpful, relatable, and pleasant while deploying hardware or answering questions on new technology. The ideal candidate must be reliable and be available for hours between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Building and deploying Windows (Dell) computers

Consulting with client to complete computer purchases using discretionary research funding

Managing hardware retrieval from client staff that are off-boarded

Deploying and supporting Cisco VOiP Telephones

Public Printing Support – Managing paper, toner, and device maintenance for public printers across client facility

Hardware and Application / Tool Testing in partnership with Desktop Engineering

Remote OS upgrades and remotely assisted hardware configuration for client Staff

Documenting all activity and interactions in the ticketing system – ServiceNow
-
Hybrid Check-Ins and ability to answer connectivity / tool related questions while under pressure
Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum 2 to 5+ years of related work experience in PC break-fix, an AA degree, or technical training / equivalent combination of education and experience

A+ Certification – or able to obtain within first 6 weeks of employment

Customizes the customer experience for every individual—all communication, instructions, and product knowledge to the level of the individual

Takes a consultative approach when solving issues and is relatable and responsible when interacting with any customer onsite or remote

Has the ability to work as both an individual contributor and as part of a team
-
Enthusiastic about technology and is willing to learn new platforms

Solid experience and understanding of IT services and products

Imaging / Support experience required

Experience with Ivanti, Microsoft InTune, or JAMF a plus
-
Encryption experience with Dell (DDPE) a plus

O365 / Exchange and Active Directory

Experience with Client printing and WebJet Admin a plus
