Desktop Support Specialist - TEKsystems

Key Responsibilities:

· Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems, applications, and hardware.

· Provide hardware and system support to end-users for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals and conference room equipment.

· Communicate and collaborate with team members via ticket, phone, email and chat

· Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues; escalate complex problems to appropriate teams as needed.

· Administer various tools including but not limited to Intune, JAMF, ConnectWise, OneLogin, Adobe, Slack and Zoom

· Maintain and create documentation in a knowledge base

· Educate employees on IT policies, tools, and best practices to enhance productivity and security

· Track and manage IT assets, including procurement, deployment, and decommissioning of equipment.

· Maintain detailed records of incidents, solutions, and user requests in the IT service management system.

· Work closely with other IT teams, such as network and systems administrators to resolve cross-functional issues.

· Address technology needs unique to retail environments such as back of house computer systems and peripherals as well as manufacturing facilities

The Skills:

· 3 years of experience as a Desktop Support Analyst, IT Support Technician, or similar role.

· Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.

· Familiarity with Active Directory as it relates to user management

· The ability to effectively prioritize tasks and projects

· Proven ability to communicate and interact with vendors

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and remote desktop tools.

· Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPNs.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.

· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

· Familiarity with manufacturing IT environments a plus

Physical Requirements

· Ability to maintain stationary position to operate computers and other office equipment

· Must be able to transport items potentially up to 50lbs

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00
