The Position 

The Designer role at Ohio Property Brothers involves shaping living spaces and creating lasting impressions. We're seeking a skilled and innovative Designer to join our team who excels at turning houses into functional, beautiful homes and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. As a key team member, you'll lead projects and contribute to design solutions. 

Responsibilities 

• Meet with new customers to create conceptual designs and measure existing conditions Develop design iterations within customer budgets with increasing detail through our proven design workflow 
• Research and integrate cutting-edge materials and design trends, focusing on uncommon themes in the Midwest. 
• Utilize unique design details tailored to each customer while avoiding repetitive aesthetic choices 
• Prepare scaled plans and elevations for various installation purposes Coordinate the selection, documentation, and costs of finish choices 
• Collaborate with purchasing to quote, quantify, qualify, and order materials.
• Visit job sites regularly, liaising with installers and homeowners to ensure project success and quality control 
• Coordinate and organize photo shoots or housewarming events 
• Help customers have a remarkable experience and lead them to leave a positive review

Qualifications 

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in residential remodeling 
• Deep knowledge of space planning and customer-focused engagement
• Proficient in software for design, space planning, and materials selections
• Familiarity with JobTread or similar project management tools 
• Proficient skills in Google Suite 
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently 
• Diverse portfolio demonstrating past work 
• Excellent team collaboration skills with a customer-centric approach 
• Comprehensive understanding of residential remodeling processes 
• Capable of decisions related to selections or allowances while adhering to budgetary constraints 
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving history for a company-provided vehicle

Preferred Qualifications 

• Degree or Certificate in Architecture, Space Planning, Design, or related field Ability to use emerging technologies that assist the Design Process 
• Committed to navigating Design Build workflows with customers, confidently
• Proven and recent experience with Chief Architect, AutoCAD, or your preferred similar software

Working Conditions 

• The role involves remote work from home and on-site job locations 
• Essential physical requirements include but are not limited to climbing ladders and lifting materials weighing 25 pounds or more 
• Ability to self-manage a work calendar leaving time for team huddles and networking activities 
• Team-oriented, collaborative work environment 
• Working on weekends and evenings is discouraged

Salary and Benefits 

• Full-Time position 
• Compensation Range: $75,000 - $100,000 negotiable and based on experience
• Customizable pay scale options to suit your preference higher base or higher commission
