Dentist (Part-Time)
Location: Milford, DE
Shift: 9 am - 5 pm, 3 days a week (24 hours / week)
Pay rate: $105/hr

Company Overview: Our client is a leading provider of healthcare services for Veterans, seeking for a part-time dentist to perform various procedures for oral health.
Position Summary: The successful candidate must be a licensed Dentist with eligibility for a Delaware Dentist license, possessing extensive knowledge of dental medicine and surgery in accordance with ADA guidelines. The candidate should have proficiency in a wide range of dental services, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to manage and supervise clinic operations.
Responsibilities:
- Dental Examinations: Perform dental examinations of teeth and surrounding tissues using x-rays and medical history records to determine treatment needs.
- Reporting: Report to a technical superior.
- Direct Dental Care: Provide direct dental care and oral surgery.
- Clinic Operations: Plan and organize daily clinic operations, including budget administration.
- Conferences: Attend conferences for consultative and educational purposes.
- Contacts: Engage regularly with patients for treatment, supervise and guide internal staff, confer with specialists on complex cases, and make referrals.
- Dental Services: Provide a range of dental services including cleaning, scaling, bonding, fillings, extractions, restorations, oral surgery, pulp therapy, bridgework, crown work, partial dentures, space maintainers, and orthodontic appliance preparations.
- Medication: Prescribe and dispense medication as required.
- Anesthesia and Sedation: Administer local anesthesia, analgesia, and sedation.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise, train, and evaluate clinic staff.
- Reporting: Write statistical and evaluative reports.
- Emergency Services: Provide emergency dental services to the community.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of:
- Principles and practices of dental medicine and surgery (ADA guidelines).
- Use, care, and maintenance of dental instruments, equipment, materials, and medications.
- Federal, state, and local regulations.
- Current developments in dentistry.
- Supervising and managing a dental clinic.
- Budget functions.
- Diagnosis and treatment of complex dental diseases.
- Quality assurance and infection control guidelines.
- Clinical teaching methods.
- Skills:
- Performing a full range of dental services and diagnostic techniques.
- Instructing dental residents in clinical settings.
- Abilities:
- Detect and identify dental conditions and select appropriate corrective actions.
- Assess and discuss complex cases with specialists.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate clinic staff.
- Complete accurate statistical and evaluative reports.
- Educate individuals and families on dental health and hygiene.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a Delaware Dentist license or eligibility for a Delaware license
