About the Job
We are looking for a Dental Hygienist in our Dental Care of Alexandria and McLean PLLC office to join our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. This person will handle a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations including cleaning teeth and examining oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease. They also may educate patients on oral hygiene, take and develop x rays, or apply fluoride or sealants. All aspects of the job require an exceptional level of customer service and communication skills.
Compensation: $60-$70/hour and additional monthly incentive bonus ($60hour single column and $70 for Assisted Hygiene using Guided Biofilm Technology).
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8A-5P (Lunch 12-1)
Patients per day: 8 single and 13-15 assisted

Experience: X-Ray required, Local anesthesia preferred.

Responsibilities:
Essential Responsibilities
- Dental Hygienists are dedicated to improving the oral health of patients through periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services. Candidates should be passionate about dental work and committed to delivering exceptional care at all times.
- The Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment, care, and education in accordance with state-approved guidelines and regulations.
- Patient screening, medical history and dental charting.
- Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.
- Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease.
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Skills:
- Active Hygiene license for the state you are applying to is required.
