We are looking for a competent dental assistant who will make the dentist’s office more efficient and pleasant for patients. You’ll ensure excellent customer service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the dentist’s shoulders. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible.

Our dental practice is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team on a permanent basis. Responsibilities
As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that help enhance the patient experience, increase efficiency and productivity, and support our dental team. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
2. Taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays).
3. Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse.
4. Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol, and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
5. Helping patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
6. Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures.
7. Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health.
8. Performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer.
9. Communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies).
10. Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, and oral surgery.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant.
2. Proficiency in Dental Room Cleaning and Dental Room Stocking.
3. Strong knowledge of Oral Hygiene and Post-Operative Care Instructions.
4. Bilingual in English and Spanish to effectively communicate with our diverse patient base.
5. Completion of a Dental Assistant training program or certification from an accredited institution.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centric approach.
7. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
8. Proficiency in using dental software and computer systems.
9. Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
10. Current CPR and First Aid certification.
