Summary:
This position is responsible for driving the company delivery truck to deliver products to Cafés and other locations by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver doughnuts, coffee and coffee-related items, mail, sandwiches, baking supplies, and other company merchandise to Cafés and back to headquarters or other locations.
- Record daily delivery information on daily delivery records.
- Comply with customer’s property and security requirements (e.g., wholesale deliveries, guard keys, set the alarm).
- Collect or pick up empty trays, baker racks, coffee packaging, and other materials and returns them to the appropriate facility.
- Load products on the truck to ensure safe and timely arrival at destination.
- Clean inside of truck at the end of each shift.
- Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and maintenance.
- Reports concerns immediately to management.
- Re-fuels vehicles.
- Comply with all local department of transportation rules and regulations while driving company vehicles.
- Assist in training new drivers on routes.
- Adhere to Top Pot policies, procedures, and training guidelines.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A valid Washington State driver's license
- Clear DOL report from Washington State for the prior 12 months
- Current insurance is required.
- A food handler's permit is required.
- Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment.
Work Environment:
The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
