Join UChicago Medicine, as a Data Integration Developer in the Enterprise Architecture department. This position is a remote, work from home opportunity and you may be based outside of the greater Chicagoland area.
As a Data Integration Developer you will work closely with the Data Architect and Data Analyst to design data integration processes that are robust to support the needs of the organization, in accordance with established guidelines designs/ develops processes/ procedures/APIs for processing data and provide a high level of trouble-shooting of development/production systems. Data Integration Developers will also maintain and manage the data integration components that include data extraction, translation and transformation of data integration/interfaces extraction from source systems to target systems. Creating and maintaining document Data integration components and extraction, transformation processes. Along with supporting the designing, developing, implementing, and testing enterprise data integration process. As well as providing off-hour support for problem analysis and resolution to data integration issues.
Essential Job Functions
- Works directly with the Manager Enterprise Architecture & Integration Services on Enterprise Projects.
- Design, Development, Testing, and Deployment of Solutions using SQL and SSIS
- Source code tunings, platform optimization system testing and implementation
- Setup/configure required monitoring and alerts to proactively monitor the health of Production Systems
- Review, understand and build solutions as per system requirements and overall solution design
- Perform quality checks to ensure deliverables meet business requirements
- Execute day-to-day development and support activities
- Adhere to IT standards and processes to ensure security and operational compliance
- Provide operational support and develop plans to ensure compliance with SLA
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, with eight (8) years of relevant experience
- RDBMS experience with SQL Server, Oracle and NoSQL database
- Deep experience in working with SSIS, Azure DevOps, and data modeling
- Proficient in developing data integration interfaces such as HL7 messages, building SOAP/Restful services, SQL, and experience with stored procedures / Database triggers
- Experience with Cloud platform and architecture is a plus
- Excellent communication, both verbal & written, is required. Ability to speak to technical and business audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare experience
- Experience with large enterprise systems and large amounts of data
- Healthcare Data integration experience with Epic Chronicles and Cogito
- TIBCO data integration platform (Business Works 5.x/6.x, Active Spaces, Business Events, EMS, HAWK)
