Data Center Technician - TEKsystems

Description

We are currently seeking a Data Center Technician, to be the hands on technician working in the data center and doing the rack and stack type of work.

• Physical installation and modification of Data Center hardware
• Installs, upgrades, and modifies server devices.
• Provides technical support and recommends solutions for the physical design and maintain inventory of the Data Center.
• Maintains corporate-wide security standards and procedures.
• Resolves data center environmental issues
• Tests, evaluates and installs new hardware, software and tools as they relate to the data center.
• Collaborates with user departments and ITS staff members to investigate, identify and resolve system related problems
• Utilizes monitoring software to ensure all required systems are operational, available and performing properly.
• Develops monthly performance, capacity and availability analysis of the environment for all of the related Data Center components
• Must successfully work with other teams in the installation and support of the new equipment.
• Coordinate and maintain the preventative maintenance schedule with vendors.
• Performs all other job duties and responsibilities as assigned

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00
