Position Overview
Assist customers and sales professionals in all aspects of the customer service process.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist customers and sales in placing orders daily.
- Enter orders into the computer system.
- Help customers determine the appropriate product type.
- Research for pertinent information regarding deliveries, stock, credit, special orders and pricing.
- Place calls to customers to take standing orders daily, and interact with sales with respect to the expediting of customer orders.
- Adjust orders in the computer system when necessary.
- Coordinate SMPU, FedEx, customer PU and emergency deliveries with the shipping department.
- Quote prices when necessary.
- Forward leads to the Sales department.
- Request warehouse to check stock for shortages and mis-picks.
- Prepare special orders requested by customer and salesperson.
- Send copies of invoices when requested by customers or sales.
- Assist warehouse with calls regarding problems with deliveries and customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
- High school diploma required; Associates Degree preferred.
- Six months to one (1) year of experience in a customer service environment preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with sales professionals, customers, team members and management required.
- Must be detailed oriented and well organized.
