Under the direction of the Infrastructure Supervisor, the Custodian performs a variety of facility-related cleaning and minor maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Cleans administrative offices, meeting rooms, lounges, restrooms, locker rooms, maintenance shops and warehouse areas
• Stocks and replenishes restrooms, meeting rooms, and breakrooms with supplies
• Collects recyclables and disposes of trash
• Sweeps and mops floors
• Vacuums and shampoos carpets
• Washes walls, windows and restroom fixtures
• Cleans hydraulic hoist pits and ground cleaning
• Other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

A qualified candidate for this position possesses the equivalent of a high school diploma or GED. A minimum of six months of full-time work experience in a position successfully performing janitorial and/or industrial cleaning duties or a position responsible for the cleaning and/or servicing buildings is preferred. Position requires lifting, bending and stooping. Must possess a valid California Class C driver's license and excellent safe driving record

Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States. Long Beach Transit does not sponsor H-1B or other related work visas.

Hiring Rate: $23.56
