CCT EMT Duties and Responsibilities consist of:
Utilize medical equipment to assess patient and carry out basic life support functions.
Develop and utilize triage skills to provide optimal efficiency during calls.
Assist CCT Team with the preparation of advanced life support equipment.
Provide patient care according to clinical protocols and safety requirements.
Lift and move patients as required to provide optimum care.
Communicate with patient and loved ones to provide information, as directed, and show compassion.
Safely drive the ambulance to minimize call response time.
Monitor and maintain the general condition of the unit, keep it clean and stocked for optimal call response to maintain the image of MMT Ambulance.
Follow policies and procedures regarding out-of-chute times and turnaround times.
Complete daily/weekly/monthly unit check offs.
Report any mechanical or clinical issues.
Keep current on certifications.
Complete all assigned education.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
At least 2 years of experience as an EMT. 1.5 years of experience driving in an emergency setting preferred. Previous CCT EMT experience preferred but not required.
Current CPR
Current position specific state certification or NREMT specific certification with ability to obtain reciprocity prior to state date.
Valid drivers license and good driving record.
ICS 100, ICS 200 or willingness to obtain within 1 year of hire.
EVOC or CEVO (2 years experience emergency driving)
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
PHTLS / ITLS or willingness to obtain within 1 year of hire.
Competencies
Self-confidence, emotional stability, good judgment, and tolerance for high stress
Possess good verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle adverse situations effectively.
Physical Demands
Physically strenuous and can be emotionally challenging.
Involves bending, sitting, kneeling, moving, and lifting patients and equipment.
Must be able to drive/ride in ambulance for extended periods of times without issue.
Physical agility necessary to lift and move patients safely.
