Overview
The primary function of the Credit Clerk is to apply money to the retailer's Accounts Receivable. This includes working closely with the Credit Agents to decipher discrepancies and relay the information to the customer and sales staff in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Enter check into AR using System I (AS/400)
- Research discrepancies in check remittance and notify customer and credit agent with proper paperwork
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide information to customers, drivers, and sales personnel as requested
- Work in teams monitoring ATM deposits and make application by monitoring and answering an ATM email inbox
- Process and enter new credit applications into System I
- Review special instructions on checks for compliance and note System I
- Input data into System I regarding different types of AR adjustments
- Monitoring a Credit email Inbox
- Check scanning to Cash Pro for clerk's individual batches
- Review daily term changes and input data
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Experience in clerical work; Banking and AR experience preferred
- Good PC skills, Microsoft Office Suite; good organizational skills, good math skills
- Ability to problem solve and perform assessment tests
